Hello and Welcome to room C106! A little bit about me: My name is Veronica Martinez and I will be your Language Arts/Social Studies or AVID teacher (for some I may be both). I was born and raised in Los Angeles County until I was 12 years old. At that time, my family and I moved to Murrieta. Moving to Murrieta while being in middle school was definitely a struggle for me. Needless to say, it took time for me to adjust. Because I know first hand how difficult the middle school years can be (I am sure parents can attest), it is so important for me to encourage your child and build his/her self esteem, promote compassion, teach cultural-relevancy, and empower all students through self-advocacy. Currently, I live in Menifee with my two daughters: Clarissa will be entering the 4th grade this school year and our Luz will be in 2nd grade.
Now that you know a little bit about me, check out the video that Riverside County Office of Education put together to learn a little bit about my classroom.

I am eager to learn about you!
Building relationships with my students is so important for their success! Please help me better understand how I can best serve and meet my students' needs. Thank you!
